Re: Some stumping pics i wanted to share....
No, they re not the heavy footed ones. This bow has only 43 lbs (sadly, would like better if it were about50). The arrows are Beman Mfx Classic 600 with 145 points and a 1" 1916 footing. I dont use fieldpoints for stumping, my favourite by far are the Ace Hex Heads, they pull quite easy. Carbon...

Hi, After finishing my arrows for the refinished longbow yesterday i was keen on trying them in the field so ive been out for 1 1/2 hours after work today and took the camera with me. At first i really didnt like the locator grip of the longbow and the handshock was pretty awfull too. But after putt...

Problems with fletching coming loose?..Solution here!(pics)
Hi, ive sometimes had problems with fletching falling of the arrow for some reasons and as i want my gear to be as reliable as possible i started winding them down. I made a little pictorial about it as i thought perhaps someone might be interested. I dont say its the best way to do it, but it works...

Thx alot for sharing!
These fish look like a cross breed between a catfish (tail) and a salmon or trout (head) with whiskers. Very interesting! Do you only catch them with lures and spinners or also with deadbait or the like?

Hi, as i really have no clue how to grip a LB with a locator grip, it just feels not riht no matter how i do it, could you please explain to me? Re: Refinishing a bow ! ......in process
I doubt that you will need silencers on that type of bow once you get it shooting right Axel. Jeff Thats true? I dont know much about this kind of bow type. with the few quick shots ive made before sanding it seemed to have a bit of buzzing sound. As this bow is only rated for B50 strings i think i...

Ok, so ive got the bow abut 8 hours ago. so far i like it. the finish was damaged as suspected. has a little handshock but not much and i may be able to get rid of it with brace height changes and perhaps some silencers. three little things miht need some improvement, the string grooves are a bit wo...

Axel, It looks like a name of some sort has already been taken off just under the writing. You could very carefully sand around the writing if you wanted to leave it there - just give the finish a light sand in that area so as not to sand through to the writing. Jeff The "Name of some sort&quo...

Refinishing a bow ! ......result pics added
Hi, ive just bought a used bow and it is has some cosmetic issues. The finish is damaged on parts of the limbs. How hard is it to refinish it? In the past ive used simple spraypaint and covered everything up but i am thinking about doing it right this time. Wich kind of finish should i use? Should i...

WTB Bob Lee Longbow Limbs - 35-40#
Hi, i am looking for some Limbs for a Bob Lee TD, the Longbow version. 35-40# would be great as i am looking for a lightweight second pair for formtraining and 3D. Scratches, nicks, stress lines in the finish would be no problem. Ill pay for the extra shipping costs to Germany. Paypal preferred; Tha...

Firstoff, while broadhead planing and bareshafting on longer distances (30 yards up) the arrows have shown me that they arent finished, yet. They show weak. Didnt have the time to change and retest them till now. DMM, i know Stus Calc, but my numbers are a little different. As said, the strike plate...

Re: My new "extreme - internal - footing" arrow....
Well, i cant bowhunt in Germany, but i can go elsewhere .
That Bob Lee normally has a -3/16 cc, ive build out the side plate 1/8". This might explain why it needs such a stiff arrow.

BTW, its not taht hard as i would have thought, actually i can shoot pretty good. OK form may not be as good as with my 58# Bob lee and that handshock still iritates but it works. And that Lee feels so easy and light afterwardsStickbow Hunter wrote:. Enjoy building up those muscles.
