Re: Glue for nocks
Like Rod said in gluing up wooden arrows I also like to use Tarzan's Grip for both the fletching and nocks.
If timed correctly it slightly melts a small amount of the nock in making a truly strong bond.

Re: Desperately Seeking
 I've been asked as to why I'm desperate to find these Broadheads.. Well they are reportedly to be an Australian made head and in being a broadhead collector I'm currently trying to find out as much as possible about all the broadheads, made in Australia. I'm always seeking to find anything...

I am also envious, ditto to the words, "That's one nice little bow alright!".
I agree that it looks to have heaps and heaps of character.
I'm sure it will do you justice and shoot just as sweetly.

Re: Where does your Money/Effort go?
 Like most others, that are traditional, I make most of my gear apart from building a bow, have had a couple of go's but big failures... . But I do love collecting broadheads as I go, and afterwards at days end a bit of the old smooth stuff 8) to swallow down when all is secured....

 Hi, to all that know me, as a Broadhead Collector, and please forgive me for the title, but I am in desperate need to trade anyone that may have some of these broadheads. They are all Australian made and are not that old, for they were made back in 2010 by a firm or someone by the n...

Hello Mat (aka weaponhead)
I also like the look of your new arrows, being a self made product, well done
Is it at all possible in seeing a picture or two of your jig that incorporates a Router that turns your square billets into round dowel shafts.?

Re: BROADHEADS AD ABSURDUM
:surprised: That's not Archery as in Bow and Arrow in any form. A butt of a rifle, and so forth. There you have a Modern technology beyond the needs, it took a lot of very high fire power to make the projectile discharge. The first few shots didn't have the weight behind the round for it to fire. If...

Re: Is this still instinctive or is it gap shooting?
 Many, many years ago, (my story) :surprised: when I was a lot younger, 8) I would wonder and walk the paddocks shooting arrows at any object that wouldn't break an arrow. This shooting of different objects at different distances ( never measured any) improved my ability to lift the bow and...

Re: Is this still instinctive or is it gap shooting?
Mick said  All I did, with this new method, was to pre-empt this predictable low shooting by artificially allowing for it and yes, it's certainly a form of gap shooting. It produces results, so I will probably keep on using it. For me, this mix of instinctive and gap shooting works. W...
