Re: Wayno's Justastik arrowcraft UPDATED Feb 2015
Had a go at some tophats to see how they perform. I can see the advantage in swapping the same weight field points as broadheads and having only one set of shafts. We will see with time. 11/32 Douglas Firs Crested white, white nocks Cock feather yellow shortened 4 1/2 inch bananas Tophats with 125gr...

Re: New Knife and Sheath
Looks like a comfortable shape handle on the blade Perry. not much I can say about the leather work as it is always outstanding. I have a similar length knife I use for knocking out pig jaws but it is strapped to my day pack as you said they are to heavy to carry on the hip. Good to see you back int...

Re: Bamboo backing for a spotted gum bow.
Dave and Daryl thanks for the advice, will give the areas indicated towards the handle a bit more attention and see if it changes anything, what have I got to loose hey. Has been a great learning curve for shore. Just have to wait for work to slow down before trying another one. Thanks again. Cheers...

Re: Bamboo backing for a spotted gum bow.

Made a string and braced her at 6 inches. There was major tillering in one limb but have got as close as possible to even as I can. Althoug...

Re: Bamboo backing for a spotted gum bow.
Update of where I am. Have cut and rasped the blank to shape. It has about 1/2 inch reflex in it to counter the string follow I hope. Alright the guts. The bamboo backing is not very even through the blank, I tried to start at about 8mm in the middle and half way along the limb 6mm and the tip about...
