Re: who makes orion?
His name is doug and he lives out the back of tiaro not really that far from cashy, he makes a nice bow, i shot about six of them on the weekend and all shot very well. He has great attention to detail as he is a carpenter and cabinet maker by trade. Doug is still new to bow making but is already ma...

Re: Australian Longbow and Recurve Muster
You will do better than that rod as i am shooting recurve division, so you only have to go after brett.

Re: Australian Longbow and Recurve Muster
I will be there with my wife as a part of the wide bay contingent. Going up friday morning, it will be my third time and i swear it is more fun every time i go. Especially getting to see people that you saw last time you went and catching up on a years worth.

Re: gloves and 'no gloves'
My wife uses the no gloves on her long bow, and i will be removing them as soon as she finds a suitable tab to use. The main problems with them is at full draw they pinch the nock, you get unbelievably bad string torque and you can not get a clean release as they are rubber they sort of stick to you...

Brass Points
I am trying to build some arrows for my partner and i got some of those 80grain brass points with the thread inside of them but i have never used them before. What i wanted to know is what taper does the shaft need to be for them or do i need to taper at all, how do i get them on there right.

I don't know about the spirit, but i have a SHB and find it to be a good bow at a reasonable price. I use mine for 3d and aba feild from time to time and have found it does the job really well, it's not the fastest bow around but i am glad i bought mine. If you do buy one get a new string made for i...
