Re: Tennis elbow and archery
I still suffer from Tennis Elbow in my Left Elbow, Right Handed Archer. I dropped Bow Weight and worked on a Swing Draw instead of my old Stand and Deliver Form It turned out my Tennis Elbow is exasperated by a T4 / T5 Vertebra Injury. I have had a lot of Cortizone over the Years with no ill effect'...

Re: Cypress/mtn ash, horn tips
coming along nicely Cadet, I reckon a day spent making a successful Wood Bow is more fun than a day spent shooting Holy Black and that's saying something. Years ago I knew a Bloke who had it in his head that Vic Ash / Tas Oak was a suitable Selfbow Timber. Despite the Belly of his Bow continually fa...

Aren't Angles tricky when viewed on a Screen ! I have no clue how to apply the black line as you have Daryl but it shows the Tiller perfectly.

Stay on the front foot Clint and good luck ! most of the Eastern State's Hunters don't know how restrictive it is over there in WA for Hunters. WA seems to be way out there on interpretations of the NFA and surrounding Legislation. Keep the Begger's honest !

Re: Australian Yew English Longbow
That's a very good point re Bush Staves Daryl. I have a somewhat twisted and bendy 75" Brigalow Bow that when you look at it at Full Draw and apply a critical eye to the Tiller at Full Draw many say the bottom Limb looked as if is not Tillered correctly. Just like your Bow here Colin so long as...

I have been very impressed with Bearpaw Archery Gear, great value and quality for the money. I had a Bodnik Deflex Refex that was made with Bearpaw clear Glass and there were no imperfections in it but it was not a glassy clear as Bowtuff.

[quote Perry, hope you like this one, it is short, has curves and is not ‘shiny’.[/quote] I really do like this Bow Daryl, short Riser, Long Limb's and that forward handle would make for a stable shooting little Bow. Looks like the Grip is flat so your hand will be less inclined to torque the Bow. N...

It's not to my taste either Daryl but that does not matter, as you say - the Client is happy ! And he should be because there in an enormous amount of experience and time that allows you to make Bows that shoot as well as your's do !

I have seen People make up a Jig so they could cut a repeatable curve using a Bandsaw. Check this link out it has pictures of similar home made Jig to what I have seen used. I made a small scale version years ago that worked very well. You can even adapt this type of Jig to cut different width Riser...
