Re: Vanes

I have shoot vane out of my recurves and longbows and have not had the back kick out. BUT YOU HAVE TO SHOOT THEM COCK FEATHER IN :!: Got a camo coloured fleece fletch cover bag that hooks over the bow quiver hood with some elastic,it keeps the fletched dry & stops the arrows getting flicked out ...

Re: Hows this for a dog act?

the biggest problem is that hunting is getting more popular,it was not that long ago in the land of the long white cloud (nz) that there was only 2 hunting mags now there are a dozen which puts our activities out on the public domain for all to see. We have a program on tv(late at night) which is on...

Re: How would you categorise this bow?

I have a Bear Polar which has the same shape as this and it is a very nice and forgiving bow to shoot.
I will be looking this "LONGHORN' up for a replacement.
might be able to hit something then :D

Re: Qiuvers

I use a Kanti bow quiver from kustom king it holds 4 arrows and i strap it on the riser it weighs nothing and do's not effect arrow speed or bow balance.
A lot of our hunting is in bush and scrub a back quiver is not a option, with a bow quiver you can push it though the tight spots

Re: tree stand hunting.

I do perch up a tree,(sitting on a piece of foam) when hunting Whitetail at Stewart Island and we do bait by putting broadleaf into piles near a suitable tree, then checking in the morn for the ones that are hit then go up that tree 3 hours before dark. It works wonders had them all around me on the ...
