Re: use of aluminium and carbon arrows at trad shoots

Litte John

I'm lucky in this respect, it doesn't matter what I use, as I can shoot just a crapy with all the types of arrow

Re: gap shooting

Hi Jesse

With my setup of a 45# bow, 500gr arrows and anchoring behind my jaw with 3 under, I get a point on distance of 42 yards. I changed from split finger to 3 under a while ago and this had the effect of bring the tip of the arrow up into my secondary vision at the shorter distances.

Re: ILF riser

Hi Flyne

I also have a couple of ILF tradech bows, a 17" titan and a 15" black onyx. I am very happy with both these bows, I believe they also now have a 19" titan riser for sale.

David

Re: Split fingers vs 3 fingers under

I have just changed to 3 under and I'm loving it. It brings the arrow up into my field of vision helping me shoot the Gap a lot better. My point on now is 32m, with split finger it was 45m giving me a maximum gap of just over 1m compared to the 14" I have now.

Re: Glueing field tips to wood arrows.

(i rough the arrow tip & then clean it with thinners) Hi Gidget Sounds like your doing the right thing, the only thing I can think of is when you clean the tips with the thinners do you allow time for it to evaporate off before glueing the tips on. PS just putting the feathers on some new carbon...

Hi DFENZ

If its any help I recently bought a Norsemen longbow. Good looking bow, fast and smooth to draw, service was excellent and Nick was very easy to deal with.

I believe this is a typical archers helmet (sallet) from the 15th century, no brim to get in the archer way.
