HAHAHAHAH! Last weekend at I was at a motorkhana. Some random spectator decided to hook a bunch of donuts on the driveway before he left. Silly him... he returned and promptly a local cop showed up, parked him in and threw the book at him for a protracted and very public ar5e-reaming. however,... th...

I saw that, then I found this: http://forum.hunting.net/asppg/tm.asp?m=917583 when meandering around bowhunting.com after seeing the thread in the australian bowhunting website with the pics of the shattered carbon arrow in the dudes hand.... He claims to have nailed a caribou with one... (the anima...

Guys, get looking NOW! Here, locally, the colleges have in the last week started advertising their Adult-Ed courses as the school term and college semesters are just about to start. I can't get over the fact that when I was in school (a while back...), I treated the wood and metal classes like crap,...

It is an interesting situation. While only new to this sport, I've been around a few other things in the past that I think help me have a different perspective on it than some others might. It would seem that Trad is pretty well a consumer driven movement, not one that is following the manufacturers...

Thanks guys. I could just go and buy a Samick Masters riser, funky limbs, stabilisers and nifty pin sights, but drilling blow-flies at distances I can't even see them over isn't what I'm interested in. I just want to learn to shoot properly and plink to my little hearts content. The warmth of wood h...

International Limb Fitting - wood risers?
OK, I'm a complete newbie and only very recently got involved in archery. I am looking for a "beginners" bow - a recurve that I can get a few different weight limbs to progress through as I (hopefully) increase draw strength. So in this near vertical learning curve I've sussed that there i...

Is "traditional" a current trend?
I was meandering through www.basspro.com and for the first time I found them selling "traditional" bows - not just takedown recurves, but Fred Bear longbows and Martin 1 piece jobbies. I've got a couple of their catalogues going back to maybe '97 and I'm sure I've never seen anything that ...

 I thought they might have been for target pistol work as part of a glasses/ eye cover arrangement.... but then it occured to me they'd be easier to do in plastic. They could be some kind of spacer or insulator. the ones on the right have a series of holes that you'd normally expect would be ...

I used to think poodles were dogs for dead set shirt lifters, hair dressers and zipper jockeys.... but I used to do obedience and agility trials (those dog obstacle courses with tunnels, weaving poles, etc) and we had a couple of miniature poodles that really did very well. (not the toy poodles... n...
