Lindsay,

I am currently using the Victoria Ash shafting and like it. Contact Steve and Ruth Whiting as they carry it and also other shafts which I believe make arrows heavier than cedar.

G'day Lindsay, As others have said 55# will do the job but I don't believe you have much to spare when it comes to a good size boar. Here are a few suggestions you might consider. Firstly consider using a Dynaflight or similar string on your bow if you don't already. This will improve the performanc...

I wouldn't recommend using the Razor Edge on good quality blades as you would end up turning a hunting knife into a filleting knife.

Thanks for the photos Gilnocki. You are doing a nice job and a unique one at that. Having the veneer on the outside like that makes them look different to other bows.

What weight bows have you made so far?

Great to see someone making their own bows and thanks once again for showing us.

Gilnockie, Do you glue the 0.6mm veneers together so they are thick enough for your limbs? This is how it reads to me, maybe I'm interpreting it wrong. If this is the case you must have a lot of veneers in a bow limb or are you just using the veneers under clear glass and having normal thickness lam...
