There's more to eating ethically than animal welfare.

Re: Newbie Arrows?
I'm a big fan of the 24h araldite (it's labelled 'super strength araldite'). Apart from the extra strength, you also get a lot longer to apply it once it's mixed - handy if you're doing more than a couple of arrows at a time. I like to clean the insert and the inside of the shaft with acetone after ...

Re: POLL - Trad 'Eligibility'.
Pineapple? Look, if you blokes want these exotic ingredients you need to get off your bums and build your own burger shop. No good moaning to us normal folk about lack of pineapple & expecting us to accomodate you, if you really think it's needed then build it and they will come! Until then you...

Have a look at Carbon Express Predator II 800. Lots of AU sellers and you will be able to cut them to length. The GT ultralights will leave 4" of arrow hanging out the front of the bow....

Re: carbon arrows for new long bow
I had a bit of a play around with the calc for you.... Most carbons have a max spine deflection of .600", which would need a heap of point weight to work for you if cut to length. This won't give you the flat trajectory you're after as you'd be looking at about 12gpp. You can get target shafts ...

Fanto makes a good point though, you really need to know the centre-cut for it to be accurate, including the thickness of the arrow plate.

Deadwood was awesome. +1 Game of thrones, I love it to death. 'The Sopranos' was great, there's about 5 seasons if you haven't seen it already. 'Rome' was really great. If you like doco's, Wonders of the solar system/the universe/life with Brian Cox are great. I've seen 5 eps of the new show 'Viking...

Hey Rob did you see the video I posted with a bow quiver from thongs? Maybe they'd work for this, too. They seem fairly durable, even after cutting.

Re: Newbie Arrows?
G'day lanky, congrats on the new bow.. I haven't been shooting for anywhere near as long as some of the guys here, but I did start out with a very similar bow. I chose carbons when I started out mainly for durability. I assumed (rightly  ) that I would miss the target quite often and arrows...

I went and bought a couple of pairs of thongs from Big W today for about 3 bucks each and made one of these quivers this afternoon. Pretty happy with it, I'll post some pics when the camera battery's recharged
