If I voted ten times wood would win Erron  I use only wood and have no interest in shooting any other shaft material. Wood has a certain feel, a character if you like, that no man made material can come close to duplicating. If you have your arrows matched to your shooting style and bow then I ...

I personally don't like the idea of using a Red Deer image in our logo. As Erron said, I think it has to be immediately identifiable as Australian and also traditional bowhunting/archery. A few things come to mind such as gum leaves, Akubra hats, longbows/recurves. Just something to consider maybe. ...

   Jock. It would seem that we are having a little of your weather in this part of the world at present. I'm in Queensland and it has been hovering above and below zero the last few nights. Very cold for us sunny Queenslanders. Are you ever planning a trip down this way? If you are I'...

G'day sambahunta, Welcome to the site. You being one of those Gringo trad bowhunters like Erron you should know that Osage Orange grows in many places in NSW and Vic. :D Ask around and you might be able to find some. I have seen it growing on the side of the road down there. It sure makes a nice bow...

Charlie,

My personal favourite by far is the Ribtek. They're structually strong, easy to sharpen, hold an edge well and are great value for money. I'm sure you have seen them in the States. Jeff

Just wanted to say thanks publicly here for all the effort you put in. I know myself and others really appreciated it. Hope you can find the time to pop in here and have...

G'day Daniel. Welcome to our campfire. Sounds like you have some good hunting in your part of the world. I had a friend by the name of Dave Richardson from Alberta come out here to hunt with us in the late 1980's. He had some great hunting photos from over there. Glenn, All the best with your Gulf t...

Jay,

You can keep your snakes. I had a big Mulga have a go at me a number of years ago while out hunting pigs. I'll never forget it  I tried to continue looking for pigs but there were so many sticks that looked like big Mulgas after that, that I should have given up for the day :D Jeff

Jay, Yes that is me. The hunting around here isn't great. First up most of the country around here is forestry (can't hunt) or sugar cane. If a few pigs get about they are very quickly dogged :x Within two to three hours from here there is the Red deer. I don't hunt them because of health problems. ...

Jay, I've been making laminated longbows for nearly 16 years. I used to make quite a few but in recent times I have just been doing a few for friends etc. I have only made a few selfbows. I have two Osage ones that are still shooters. I have shot a few pigs and a rabbit with them. They were flatbow ...
