Re: POLL - Trad 'Eligibility'.

I have read all the posts to date with interest and felt it was time to add my two bob's worth to the conversation albeit based on my quite limited experience.
Good on you Tom, your two bobs worth is as important as anyone elses.
Look forward to catching up at Barambah.

Re: Orange Trad Peg at QLD ABA State Titles

Hi all, I shoot with an ABA club:-The Darling Downs Field Archers, and they give Trad shooters the choice, which is really good! I am a target archer and so not a big deal for me, as I prefer modern recurve anyway. However just to throw an opinion out there. If I were a hunter I would not be shootin...

Best to go back to perfecting your Shot Sequence and focus on it as in the end getting it consistent is the path to good shooting.
Hi all, I am with Jacko! Back to basics, has to be the long term fix. short term fixes short life! On the other hand_if it works, keep sharing the tips.

Im looking to build a target to keep in the garage so i can practice, any ideas on whats quiet?? Hi all, I use cane mulch bales from the local hardware store, $12.00 a bale. They take hundreds of arrows before needing to change, and then they go on the garden. I really like the carpet target idea! ...

Re: POLL - Trad 'Eligibility'.

Hi Scuzz, I have edited my previous post, reffering to the organising club. Maybe it should be the organising club that makes this distiction, after all it is their shoot and give up their time and effort to give archers a place to shoot that I am exceedingly grateful for. That say's it all for me. ...

Hi all, well I think this debate has gone on long enough! If a club puts on a Trad event , "that is what it is" anyone wishing to shoot at the event knows right from the start. No one is stopping newcomers or anyone else from going! The only iffy question to me that does seem to need addre...

I shoot target only and my wood arrows 3 X 4" feathers at 28" weight in at a massive 412g -437g. I use mostly 100-125g depending whether I am shooting 3D or ABA. I am now shooting 45# on a Recurve dropped from 50#. This allows me to shoot all day without buggering up the aging frame. Ronster

Re: Bows that qualify for trad shoots and restrictions

Hi all, I do believe that archery clubs allow almost any type of bow, and run weekly/monthly events to include all catagories, for people of all ages. But when a Traditional event is put on by a club that is open to all who want to enter. It is advertised as a Trad shoot and has Trad rules! (It must...
