i think people go out of their way to be offended these days ,so i dont take any notice of them and i'll say it again rubbish is rubbish apparently youve never seen blue poles the vic gov spent over 2 mill on it over 20 years ago , became an eye sore and is used by the homeless as a toilet .

A couple of years ago a well known bowyer from england came here and was teaching us how to make elb's and how to shoot warbows ,before you shoot any all wood bow you should warm them up ,you can do this when you string it ,if you use a stringer just slowly bend and straighten the bow a few times ,o...

i bought a toth bow 5 years ago 57# mongol ,i found the hand shock to be extreme and it was very slow shooting 550grn arras under 160 fps .i also found it quiet heavy to carry in the bush while hunting.

as an army shooting instructor many years ago if we had right hand left eye dominant we used to get them to shoot with both eyes open ,but put an eye patch over the left eye.it worked quite well.

i doubt if that will embarrass grant ,we have both had our photo's taken for our local rags on a number of occasions when we have dressed up in our medieval gear for local sunday markets.

the canoe is nearly finished ,due to an exceptionally cold winter ,steave getting 2 knee reconstructions and me getting a cartilage and knee scrape,slowed us down some what ,but in the newyear we only have todo a couple of fiddly bits and seal it and it will be complete.

A 110 year old new guinea long bow with 5 arras 1 with a cassowary claw as a head ,a big folder a fancy sheath knife and some mounted antlers to use as a bow rack.

thanks guy's ,the hardest part will be sitting around not doing anything ,but ive had a couple of mates go through it and they recon dont do anything till your told or you will pay for it ,so i'll just have to grin and bear it and behave myself.

i found out this morning i have to have a shoulder op on the 19 dec nothing fancy, just a bone scrape ,tendon repair and a muscle sown up ,so no pulling back of the bows for 3 to 6 months ,bugger, missing out on ballarat and lilydale shoots....this is what happens when you start getting old . ....ne...
