Beautiful.
Congrats. What is she braced at? I find a slight hight brace (at around 8') on my 60" BBD shoots very sweetly.

Can we see your Huntsman please, Andy? Better clear up any confusion: I currently own and shoot: Border Black Douglas Schafer Silvertip Barry Johnson D longbow Ben Pearson Hunter II The bows I will own in the future are: a Border ILF setup with Hex5 a ACS longbow a Mark Kimber Huntsman recurve made...

Re: What bow are you hoping or planning for?
I was also looking at Border Hex5 ILF limbs the other day. They would be an extravagance, perhaps even more so would be a Border Griffin GL longbow, modern materials (carbon limbs) in a traditional looking longbow. I had my eye on the Border Bows for a while. The main deciding factor was a quest to...

Nice bag with a trad feel about it.
Could you replace the swivels with brass so that over time they would dull and not scare the game off?

Re: Advantage Widow
Cool looking bow.
I've always wanted a widow - the PCH in particular.
How hard wearing are those "film dips"? I have a pair of old Marine Gerber bino's (in bright yellow rubber) that I would like to dip.
Cheers

Hi Matt, I usually start at 7.25" and work my way up or down as dependent on the bow. Strangely enough all of my 60" recurves (Border Black Douglas, Schafer Silvertip, Martin and Ben Pearson) all seem to shoot sweetest at exactly 7.5" We can have a look at your brace height tomorrow o...

I know of a longbow (and occasional compound) hunter down at Wollongong called Serge.
Good bloke and very interesting character.
I'll give him a bell and see if he minds if I pass on his details Tony

Simply stunning.
Very beautiful - what does she shoot like?
You can expect a lot of people wanting to have a test shot at a trad gathering.

10 twists up on my 60" Border Black Douglas = 1cm brace height increase
9 twists up on my 60" Schafer Silvertip = 1 cm brace height increase.
both with flemish FF strings.
