UPDATE
got a phone call yesterday afternoon to say it was on a flight from Singapore straight to Adelaide, woke up to another phonecall today saying it is still in Singapore and didn't make the flight due to the plane being overloaded. I'm back to worrying.

Thanks Bob, this is 1084 carbon blade steel, one of the easier ones to heat treat which was my main reason for using it, Overall length = 205mm blade = 105mm x 3mm thick handle = 100mm http://i1121.photobucket.com/albums/l516/lildonnyh/DSC01261_zps9f1389a2.jpg http://i1121.photobucket.com/alb...

No no MYUS has been great and was all good, until it hit OZ, sent from binghams as 2 boxes to MYUS both arrived at same time, MYUS bundled them together and sent to OZ via DHL, tracking went to Adelaide and went cold for 3 days, somehow the boxes aren't together anymore and one box has been found he...

I read this statement and then went for it, couldn't be happier with the results, I found with enough research there is a basic equation when it comes to any one of these changes to a bows design, taking this into account I fell within 3# of my desired weight, it's not so much that I wante...

Goatchaser's Charcoal forge
Gday guys, while waiting for some more bow material to arrive I have been nocking up some knife blades which are going to need to be heat treated soon, so I decided to whack a coal forge together with some gear I had laying around and a cheap blower. I thought I would share the process with some pic...

Out the shed grinding away on some knife blades thinking about it, and I clicked as to what you were talking about Bob, I thought you meant the shape of the limb itself, but I think you were referring to the little kink that seems to be in the bamboo line in the limbs, which is as Rod called it, whe...

not sure Bob, I traced the limbs and spun the bow on the tree then did the same, the lines match up almost perfectly, about 1.5mm difference, and I can't seem to miss the target with it  , bow is feeling really nice, no hand shock and very smooth to draw, just needs some string silencers an...
