Farewell to "this old man" Gough

Australia said goodbye one of its best and fairest today. You will be missed. Such a pity your last days were under the shadow of a government hell bent on tearing every decent thing down including many that you had initiated. Australia needs someone like you now more than ever, and there is no one ...

Re: The disparity between some US trad sites and Ozbow.

Hi Mick, I really like Trad Talk and have learned a lot from that site. There are so many good archery forums out there and to be honest I like most of them as they all have something to offer, in varying degrees, even if it is just to sit in on an archery discussion for no other reason because you ...

Re: When did 3 fingers under become popular in Australia?

Back in the early 80's I switched to shooting 3 under with my Compound and shot Split with my Recurve. I adjusted the Compounds Tuning and Arrow Mass so that with a 3 Under Anchor I had the same Point Blank Range with both types of Bows. I Shot and Set Up the last Compound I bought [ late 90's ] up...

Beautiful. Why are short bows so damned sexy? I fell in love with the Bear Kodiak Magnum at first sight 40+ years ago and they are still today a bow that has such beautiful lines. Interestingly the Super Mag never held the same appeal. To me the brace height was too high....always felt half drawn an...

Hi Troy. I love the extreme recurves and think they look gorgeous. Re: When did 3 fingers under become popular in Australia?

I remember Brian Heber? (Hebel) was shooting recurve and competing in ABA in the late 70's and early 80's using three fingers under.

Brian is the only one I can remember using that style at that period.

The other remarkable thing was that a majority of the bows exhibit a "reflex" in the handle, I could only see this reference in relation to reflex in the link you provided. A bow having reflex in the handle is in no way saying that it would have recurved tips. Jeff Hi Jeff. No mate, I was...

Evening Troy. Especially at the longer distances. G'day Terry,

I think someone is having a laugh.

Are there even bows under 10 pounds for an adult?

They are sticklers for insurance but there is the probation option before becoming a full member.

They are definitely ABA club for sure.
