Great thanks guys,
Dad and I are already committed ( flights and a campervan) so we'll be there, just look for the 2 guys with long hair and a beard that are 30 years apart wondering around trying to find a beer.

Re: Knife and tomohawk recommendations for trad shoot
Just read the rules and there is nothing that excludes the Franciscan over any other axe.
Axe must be:
- single primary edge with a easily definable primary blade
- less than 100mm cutting edge
- not be a half or full axe.
So if a fransisca had an edge of less than 100mm then all is good for ABA.

Thanks Dan,
There isn't much information for this considering how strong this segment is at trad shoots.
What makes the fransica not legal for ABA?

Knife and tomohawk recommendations for trad shoot
Good morning all, So between the new group we have up here in FNQ and upcoming shoots I'm hoping to get to I'm needing a set of throwing knives and a tomohawk for the axe throwing events. I'd like to keep them "traditional" looking if possible and of good quality. Have been looking at the ...

Re: Ways to fund the running of Ozbow.
i like the idea of a none compulsory donation to Ozbow. i'd love to get an Ozbow cloth patch to add to the collection so that maybe a product that could be added to the list of products. basally i'm saying i'm more than happy to support a community such as Ozbow because with out it i wouldn't have m...

Re: four feathers off the shelf?
I shoot both 3 and 4 feather configs off the shelf on my flat bow. The 3 feathers are faster and drop less at distance but the 3 feather arrows straighten up much more Quickly and are great out to around 20-25m I can't tell any difference with noise but the extra drag is noticeable as the arrow begi...

Re: Mark Kimber custom Huntsman recurve
I've been pining for one of marks bows as well and you bow is almost exactly what I'd want but unfortuantly. $2500 landed into Australia is beyond the scope of the minister for finance.
I hope someone buys and cherishes this one of a kind bow. It's a collectors item no doubt.

Hunterguy, Dennis, I have to admit I've bevwr really given these early longbow and war bow styles a 2nd thought. The flat laminated glass bows is what I really like. However the last 6 threads or so both of you have been writing has got me itching to now more about these early Warbiw styles. I feel ...

Re: Traditional Archery Australia
As a young and new trad shooter, I was searching for a body to be a part of and I stumbled across TAA. (I may add it was by a chance and nearly impossible to find) I met up with my local area rep in FNQ and signed up. Not really knowing what TAA was or what they did but wanting to help be a part of ...

Re: Are we fair dinkum???
Thanks Dennis,
That logical. So essentially I should attempt to clarify my form step bY step but not use these steps unless I start having accuracy issues. Then look back on the form to see what has changed?
I still have a long way to go before I'm shooting the way I want.
Regards
Bjorn

Great question. being a newbie to trad its been a complete change from shooting compound. some basics have come across but i've had to change a lot. i can't say i've practised aloof but i shoot reasonably well. i know the failure in my form (well the obvious ones at least) and i'm kind of getting th...
