Re: Corona Virus rules for Victoria

Hi Kendaric
According to the Victorian state chief medical officer Brett Sutton in his words ..no fishing ..no hunting no boating no camping and no golf. He is quoted as saying in today's Herald Sun.

Corona Virus rules for Victoria

Hi All Our authorities here in Victoria have banned going hunting and fishing. But I can still go to work and mix with other workers(did yesterday and will be Monday) and I can still go to the supermarket (did yesterday) and walk past hundreds of other people in the aisles and wait at the checkout n...

Re: AMS Bowfishing Reel Bracket

Hi Bill
Making it did cross my mind. Half the price of making it will be buying the tread tap.
Thought I would throw it out on here, if you don't ask, you don't get.

AMS Bowfishing Reel Bracket

HI all
After an AMS bowfishing strap on bracket if anyone has lying around that is not being used and needs a new home
It uses rubber straps that wrap around your bows riser and then you screw the line reel to it.
Let me know if you have one.
Thanks

Hi Pumba
With the pics , it could be that they are to many megapixels when you took it. You might need to reduce them.

Re: Pig Hunting advice

Hi Ralphmalph One way I used to find hidden sleeping pigs is by their smell as they have a particular smell also greater concentration of droppings can be a clue they lay up in an area frequently. So on days with a light breeze and you have found clues they are laying up there, just work across the ...

Re: Sneak round

If my memory serves me right, I shot a couple of these at the ABA Nationals at Orange many years ago. And it was using 3D targets all hidden along a gully and you were timed with the scorer walking just behind you. and some of the targets were set up on tracks and driven by electric motors that were...

Re: Black Hunter Longbow on Ebay

Thanks for the replies, as for calling it a longbow in the advert they call it an everything bow . as they do in Chinese adverts because they think it looks impressive   . I shot with a guy at an ABA shoot a few weeks ago and he was shooting the recurve model which uses the same ris...

Black Hunter Longbow on Ebay

Hi all Have been looking at a cheap ($135.00) Chinese made 60" takedown longbow on Ebay and I noticed in the pictures advertising it that the limbs appear to be of different lengths. Would that be an issue as it looks like one limb is about 3 to 4 inches longer than the other. This is the Eba...

Gompy Tab

Bought this Three Under Tab made by Gompy in Holland to try. It looked fairly good with a nice gloss face on the string side, but that's were it ended. In less than a week and probably 300-400 shots that gloss face layer just peeled completely off  . I am shooting a 50# longbow and draw about ...

After advice on repairing shot out 3D targets and what did you do to repair them.
Buy a repair kit or make up your own goo and what you used to make it and how well did it work.

Make a division for them at your shoots. A fella who shoots carbon or aluminium arrows money goes into the club bank account
just as easily as the fellas that shoot wooden arrows doe's.

Re: WHY?

We have an Invitational 3D shoot next weekend and are thinking of having a Trad division and to be eligible, you must be shooting feathered arrows and on the shelf and that includes longbow and recurve all in the one group. If a shooter turns up with a ILF recurve with a springy rest and burger butt...
