Re: Quesiton about old Pearson 2pc takedown bows

It's 47# @28 measured if I remember correctly but last time I measured it was more like 35# @ 27. It has lost a bit of poundage in it's time (it is a 70s/80s bow and shoots absolutely beaut), but...

Hi Guys
I'm looking for a sharpener to sharpen broadheads and knives. What would you guys reccomend? Are there any that are generally regarded as working very well and being not too hard to use?
Thanks, Carl

I think its actually because the oil he uses is partly flammable (because of the impurities?) so he's just making sure he controls the flame.

Re: Have to anneal Files?
DylanK, The basic differences between each process are: Annealing: this is to soften the metal so it can be worked easier, leave it to cool in air, slowly, without quenching it. Heat treating: This is after the initial grinding, do not grind the bevel to an edge, or you risk cracking or warping the ...

Re: Question about using helical/offset?
This is getting confusing. For you guys that use Right Wing Feathers on your arrows, which way do you have your helical? When looking down the shaft, do you have the feather going from left to right, or right to left? I might try an arrow with opposite helical or just parrelel and see if that works ...

Re: Question about using helical/offset?
Thanks for that Kevin, but does anyone know if you HAVE to do helical/offset one way and not the other? Because my brother thought that you had to go with the natural curve of the feather, which, for RW, is the opposite way to what ive done.
Thanks, Carl
Thanks, Carl

Question about using helical/offset?
Howdy guys I just made up a new set of arrows (ive only done 6/12 so far) and i bareshafted them and they shot beuatifully, then I fletched one and shot that, which went beautifully, before fletching them all with an offset going from left to right, when looking down the shaft with the nock closest ...
