Hi Dean, Yes welcome to the forum. It is much quieter than it has historically been and I am guilty of not visiting as much as I used to. This is still the best trad archery forum in Australia though as far as I can find and it is still frequented by some very knowledgeable archers from the trad/bar...

Re: Rock Python Competition Longbow New $650 pickup
Thanks Guys,
Appreciate the replies and the options.
Must admit that sending it just wrapped in cardboard and bubble wrap does give me heart palpitations even if insured.
I guess if someone wanted it sent I could cross that hurdle when I get to it.

Re: Rock Python Competition Longbow New $650 pickup
Price Change - guys.
I really do not want to get into the whole postage thing for a longbow. I just don't know where to start.
$650 for pick up or for you to arrange collection.
Thanks for looking.

Re: Do we have any fixed crawlers on the site???
It can be quite confusing both finding and then comparing the information for Barebow Recurve between the various associations. For longbow it seems to be fairly consistent that a finger be touching the arrow nock. In some cases a Mediterranean release is also required. I am trying to get a handle o...

Must say they look like they are even length to me.
Not sure the quality but my guess (unsubstantiated) is that if you aren't going to overdraw it you'll probably get some decent service out of it.
Still, probably best not to get too attached to it

Re: how to stop gap shooting ???
LOL. I'm trying to stop from shooting instinctive.
As soon as I draw the bow back the instinctive shot cycle takes over and away it goes.
I pay attention for the first couple of shots but then it is auto pilot again.
So I'm feeling your pain....in reverse.

Eddie, is there any criteria to the story? Can it be anything as long as archery is the center piece?
I realize time is a ticking.

Any extra information I'll throw on here.

Hey thanks mate. Hunting weight bows (if there is such a thing) hold little interest for me now as shoo...

Thanks mate. That is what I was finding but thought I was not looking in the right places. I thought surely hydrolic requirements would be pretty universal.. Hey all, I was hesitant to put this under the traditional craft section. Has anyone had any luck or experience making PVC bows in Oz. Yes he is a good author for sure. I am a definite fan of his work having read his excellent Arthur series. A talented and prolific writer. Apparently the Sharpe series is very good as is the Holy Grail series Also the 2nd season of The Last Kingdom has just started on Netflix as well. Cheers Troy
