I agree with Lochmoy about keeping it simple. I'm not sure if no division is the way to go. But that's what we are here to discuss. I say that as I would still really like to see a category for selfbows and for historical bows, certainly you could lump all glass laminated bows together. Like I said ...

BTW. I think because in the UK they probably have such a high proportion of archers shooting ELB's and flatbows they are able to divide the two groups but I don't see that a necessary over here and for laminated bows.

I actually thought that the asiatic bows may have been at a disadvantage to other more 'conventional' recurves being that they are short bows so finicky on release and that they are shot of the hand.
