No Complaints
At just on 30m the Black Douglas and a 650gr arrow was a lethal combination for this billy. Too rank for my taste, but no complaints from my dogs who are very fond of a "chevon" meal.

Re: Feathers in the Rain
I do nothing other than "tap'' the arrow against my leg to remove excess water off the feathers, arrows shoot fine...the obvious other option in the rain is to use vanes, contrary to some opinions they do work. The powder, IMHO, it is rubbish and should be handled carefully as it is not somethin...

Not much spare time of late, but made a little to take my kelpie Lucy and my Hwarang Traditional Korean bow for a walk. Unlike the bow, Lucy is not used to hunt, she is my mate and doesn't always go with me, when she does she stays by my side and when required stays put on command until called. Not ...

Hwarang Traditional Korean Bow
Another bow to the collection...Recently purchased this 60# Korean bow from Soul Archer,( a member of this site) first impression it appears as a toy...far from the truth, once strung it is very obviously no toy and the delivery of a 650grn arrow is very impressive I'm not into shooting the Korean w...

I don't attend Trad Shoots...I hunt and do my little bit to support the sport by teaching kids and adults alike, so I will not enter the debate other than to say/ask.... 8th Nov 2014, I noticed this young fella was unable to lift off the ground, so I thought I would mind him until he could, this is the second time I have had the PLEASURE to be involved with a "rescue" crow, the last time in 2005. Five days later I let him out...to date he still gets into h...

Re: PL-X Blackwidow longbow 67#@28"
Seems to have done the rounds since I bought this bow new in Oct 2006, at that time it was somewhat more costly i.e. If in good nick $600 seems reasonable
Bow $1150 US = AU $1513.96
Sundry $AU: Shipping $119 Import Costs $ 253.14 Bow Total Cost:$ 1886.10AU

Made a "BIG" New Friend
Sorry for the quality of the pics, trying to taking a decent pic using a mobile phone is bad enough but holding a feisty one of these in one hand and phone in the other is somewhat awkward. On the way to take my dogs swimming I met my friend in an area where kids and adults alike ride their bikes, w...

Re: Ever been chased by a snake?
I have been fascinated by and actively involved with many snakes over many years... I have had snakes come towards me about a metre or so to strike (until I backed off) when impinging on their comfort zone, this is not being chased in my opinion At other times I have aggravated a snake to a point wh...

HOORAY!! It was only a matter of time, maybe someone should have told 'em, just because you make the rules doesn't make you special and it doesn't mean you're allowed to break 'em, that is unless you're a politician ... hopefully a better system ahead
