Re: TopSide Photo of the Day

Dall sheep hunting during 2007 in a bit steeper country! Each day my partner and I had to either fiord a glacial melt outwash stream OR climb over the glacier to get to the side of teh canyon where the rams would hang out. We only attempted crossing the stream twice as it really raged late in the da...

G'day Ben!

If you ever have any questions on Archery History, THE source is Cliff Huntington down in Louisiana. You can probably locate Cliff from TradGang pretty easily.

Re: TopSide Photo of the Day

Ok, life got hectic for a bit there. Two years later and I have come from ground. I have moved but just to a different part of Alaska.

Here is a pic of a kid mountain goat that came within 12 feet of me and my mate last August south of Juneau.

Grahame,

I only do that for field points and thus the temper shouldn't matter. for broadheads I never have a problem as Ribbies just plain stick to the tapers and as you probably already know probably don't even need glue.

Instead of degreasing I super-heat my points under a torch. You can watch the oil line march toward the point as it burns off. Make sure and get your glue bubbly and use the high temp glue.

Grahame,

Just a suggestion. Does the site generate number of posts for each user? If so how about you start at the most active user and tell 'em it their turn! That way you might gather up the shy ones too and get the ball rolling!
