I know that Howard Hill was able to, and did, switch between vastly different bows for different hunting situations. All he needed was a few shots with a bow and he was "hitting'em like Howard Hill" again. I think that for consistancy, especially for those who don't shoot that often and pl...

Thanks a lot fellas. Stax of suggestions. We have some of them on the agenda already but there are a bunch that sound like a great idea. I have found the address and a number for top end bowhunters so I'll just make a call when I get up there. Now, to arrange bow transportation. Thanks again. Much a...

What to do in and around darwin ?

Hey all. My family and I are going to be in and around Darwin from the 30th May till the 9th June. We're gonna be in Darwin with friends for the first few days but we are willing to go about as far as Katherine after that. I was wondering if there were any activities, places, or experiences that any...

Thanks for posting the excellent Pics ET. I've really enjoyed them.

I was wondering what poundage you're taking those pigs with as I'm heading up to Darwin soon and I was wondering if I should bother taking my bow.

Hi all. Dennis this is for you in particular. I have a fiberglass semi-recurve hunk-a-junk that I picked up from a mate for $15. I made another handle for it and I put the shelf in the exact centre of the bow (between tips). The handshock on this baby is incredible and after reading your post I was ...

Yes, now that you mention it Daryl he did have rubber strips to add pull. The shot was made at about 2.5m and the shark was floating belly up within 5 seconds. How effective are spear guns ?

Gluing in Inserts.

Hi all.

I know that most of you are trad shooters but I couldn't get an account to work on Aussie bowhunter so I'm asking here.

What do you guys use to glue your inserts into your carbon shafts. I have tried numerous adhesives but none have worked efficiently at all.

Thanks.

That's just what I gathered from the post on aussiebowhunter. I musn't have read it carefully enough.

That fact makes this case so much more ridiculous. Thanks for clearing it up.

There are two debates here. One: Ethical. Whether it was right for chris to shoot a cat when he wasn't 100 percent sure it was a feral. Arguments for are that it wasn't desexed, didn't have a collar or a chip Arguments against are that he was close to houses and had no definite way of knowing if it ...
