Commercial T V stations tend to overly promote their garbage shows.
I find local radio stations are a better alternative.

Re: Looking for advice-Best Arrow for traditional target shooting

Hi Cathey, Perhaps it may pay to contact Bear Paw and find out if their one piece bows are suited to string walking. Being a one piece bow it would most likely have a positive tiller. It would appear that string walking archers prefer a three piece recurve bow so they can adjust the tiller to suit t...

Jeff,

I really like the range of EGO gardening equipment and I have replaced five petrol powered pieces of garden equipment with EGO products and have a 5 amp/h battery for the mower and a 2.5 amp/h battery for the smaller hand held implements.

That's good to read but I still don't trust leaving the power on to chargers overnight etc. A cousin of mine was charging his battery drill with its dedicated charger and it burnt the shed down. Jeff, The Assyrian is an amazing little bow. All up weight is about 600 grams or 22ozs. The handle is almost non existent yet the bow feels good in the hand when an arrow is loosed, perhaps this is because I use a relaxed grip. * Assyrian Braced.jpg * My only criticism of the bow is that the circumf...

Jeff,

The cardboard and styrene on the outer is to catch the odd stray arrow when setting up the shooting machine for testing different bow weights, arrow mass and measuring velocity.
The 30cm deep void is filled with wetsuit off cuts and can handle heavier weight bows.

The bow arrived and it appears to be in quite good condition. Right handed its draw weight is 45# not 50# as in my original post.

I will put it on the table down at the club with a $150.00 price tag along with six unused custom Wallace woods for $50.00.

Hi Alex,

You could try Ausbow Industries. https://www.ausbow.com.au/bowmaking

In the past he was more expensive than importing supplies from the USA but with a poorly performing AU dollar and high international shipping costs he may be competitive.

Hi Nicholas, I can't think of much more to add to your research. People also observe that most native woods are incredibly hard to work, even with steel tools, and it would be incredibly hard to make a functional self-bow with stone tools, even with green wood (except possibly with Red or Pink Ash)....
