Alternatively if anyone in the bega valley area has one and is willing to let me take some measurements/photos or maybe even taking some for me I'd be very grateful.

Re: Bamboo backed Osage

some photos of the near finished bow prior to shooting. IMG_20210408_124728.jpg I added some wrap to the fades in an attempt at removing some lamination separation at the handle fades. Am about to add some tip overlays which is something I wanted to do at the beginning abut I felt was a waste of tim...

Re: Bamboo backed Osage

I am considering knocking off a half inch each end to install tip overlays. Maybe pick up some speed? I did ...

board bows and grain orientation

I'm hoping some of you experienced self bow makers can help me out with a bit of a head-scratcher. I've watched on youtube a few video tutorials from knowledgeable artisans describing the process of making a self bow from a seasoned bowstave, Osage or Locust etc. The key message is to chase a single...

Such a post may encourage others to have a go.

Re: fire hose

Are you going to use a hot box / heat strips to cure the glue or let the ambient temperature cure it naturally? Daryl. I'll be building myself a hotbox shortly, I have sparky mate who'll wire the thing up for me. For now I'm just lining up my ducks so to speak and making sure I can source what I ne...
