Re: What Pens best for writing on Bow??
I use wipe on poly too and the only thing I have found that doesn't wipe of is, go to an art store and buy a bottle of white ink, it will be with the india ink and a nib pen like they use for calligraphy, just the cheap one with the wood handle and replaceable nibs. Use that and let it dry and the w...

Re: Leaving your bow strung
Longbows are the same but I tend to unstring the few I have because they store easier and I just don't shoot them that often.

Re: Knife and tomohawk recommendations for trad shoot
I don't know if it's still the case but the up swept design of the head on fransicans was not allowed. The top point of the cutting edge couldn't be more than an inch higher than top of the back if that makes sense. You draw a straight line across the top head at right angles to the handle and if th...

Re: Knife and tomohawk recommendations for trad shoot
You will have to check the rules first mate as there are often rules about axe shape and knife length. For example in ABA shoots fransican style axes are not allowed. I use a modified cold steel frontier hawk and I like it very much and both my kids are cub champions with the same axe. As far as kni...

Weighty issues
I've just built a longbow for a guy and it's come in a little under what I wanted. Is there an easy way way to increase the draw weight of a bow, I only need to go up about 8# or so. He has a long draw length so I didn't really want to cut down the length of the bow. Any suggestions?
