if you go to nearly any tip shop in australia you will find those old school
external frame packs for any where from $3 up.
these make a great versatille rugged pack.
you can atach travois to it to haul out that massive kill

homemade blunts

well i got sick of losing arrows so i knocked these up.

super simple, a field point, an empty cartridge and some fencing wire.
i just went and shot it around the paddock and the initial results have been pleasing.

silk liners are good.so too is a decent sleeping mat. I go for a thick 3/4 lenght one, exped is a good brand. a few years ago i got an ex expididtion bag from katmandu, it cost me $50. the bag was worth over $300 new, so you might try ringing the bigger outdoor stores and asking about this. down fil...

just an idea, i havent actually tried it but... you can tan skins using black wattle bark, ( im doing a test at the mo), and it is supposed to make them very water proof, maybe, just maybe , you could use a black wattle bark, or sap solution to water proof feather. anyone got any expierience using b...
