if you have problems sourcing field points, 3 rivers has plenty of different styles and weights to choose from, and shipping might not be too bad cause they could post them in an envelope.

ive got a set of arrows made up with the flywire tubing in them for a total weight of 830 grains with a 125 grain broadhead and out of the martin they bareshaft really well, and fletched they only group about 4 inches below the unweighted shafts at 20mtrs. but i need 300 spine arrows for the chekmat...

if your having a hard time finding ones that measure grains, you can use a grams scale and multiply x 15.43.

yeah i reckon they are definately around, just in fewer numbers.
i think the reason i may have seen one on the weekend and not on that property ever before was cause the bushfires may have pushed them around to neighbouring properties.

mick im the same as you mate. out in the field i can hit clumps of grass 20 mtrs away 9/10 times. at home i can shoot half that good, but inside at the club target panic sets in and they spray allover the place. :cry:

mines a block target, but am trying to get that insulation board you can cut up into strips and stack on each other. i wanna make a big 5ft tall x 5 ft wide target on wheels.

as far as i knew in victoria anyway, that the bow and arrow was allowed to be used to hunt any feral or pest animals, and introduced birds are counted as feral/pest animals. :shock:

i completely agree with jindy, but for $10 a bottle ill spray my clothes all over just incase. at least you know it cant make it any worse. but whatever you do dont wash your hunting clothes in normal detrgent!!!

the scotch predator calls work really well, but only at ceratin times of the year it seems to be. a few years ago in march we had success with them coming to within 5 mtrs.
