Hi Keach, welcome to the campfire. Another question you need to answer is do you want to hunt or are you content to shoot at targets. This could influence your bow choice. For a big bloke with long arms a longer bow is more comfortable to shoot but not necessarily suited to walking through the bush ...

I have a few different serving jigs. The only one I use now is the Beiter.

My experience is that strings that are served well do not come undone. I cannot remember ever having a serving I have done myself come undone.
