Re: how to stop gap shooting ???
Hi there, after seeing the above I had a relook at "Hunting the hard way" by Howard Hill again-chapter 5 "How I shoot a bow".Midway thru he says "I believe the Question I am most often asked is -how do you aim when you are shooting at game....I use the same method of aiming a...

Re: Twin City Bowmen Trad Mar 10 /11 Albury
SO HAPPY to hear that there was a momentary stuff-up/miscommunication re equip allowed at this shoot.Spoke with Zoran(club president I believe) and he was also mortified at the post re wheelies allowed. He assured me that this shoot was ALWAYS intended to be trad only-as it has been and hopefully wil...

Re: Twin City Bowmen Trad Mar 10 /11 Albury
DISAPPOINTING, PATHETIC,FRAUDULENT and DOWNRIGHT SNEAKY !!! ...THESE ARE SOME OF THE THOUGHTS THAT COME TO MIND.....this shoot should immediately be removed from the TRAD shoot calendar as it is no longer such.It becomes like the "Huntingdale" at the Grange(Qld) or Albury's own "Invit...

Re: Trad 2018
..PHEW....I was starting to get worried that common sense and the spirit of sensible co-operation was disappearing from the trad shoots esp the "cross-participation' rule which thankfully came in a while ago(not like when I started archery and was forced to be a member of 2assoc and pay 2sets o...

Re: Proposed Trad calendar for 2018
Oh no.... firstly, wonderful to see so many trad shoots being available....BUT I can hardly believe my eyes...Wisemans shoots which are "true gatherings" are allowing ANY sort of arrows!! Is this the thin edge of the wedge and the beginning of the end for wooden arrow trad shoots? I have a...

Re: Coffs Coast Trad Shoot
Hey Steve,
just wondering when the gates might be opening.I and some others probably coming to yours from Mudgee the week before, and easier to just pull straight in rather than set up elsewhere in Woolgoolga for day or two.Happy to pay some extra camping fees.Could be there by Tues arvo, cheers

Re: Anyone interested in a new recurve...?
It is a Cari-bow Taiga static tip recurve made by Abe Penner in Canada who has been making and refining his craft for about 30 years.Check out the website and start craving as I did, also check out YouTube review and his testimonials page....I found nothing but high praise for his bows and NONE ever ...

Re: Bega Valley Asian Experience Aug 19 / 20 CANCELLED
That sure is a shame,as Roadie alluded to,some people have already made plans from interstate etc to attend this shoot....and have they not panicked a bit as cut off for register is tomorrow the 11th,which is when I was going to nominate....and trad shooters are somewhat notorious for just arriving ...

Re: FLATLINE BOWS
Thanks Bowman,
yes they certainly seem to be works of art,and had wondered if they shoot as good as they look. Are they stable or have any hand shock that you know of? cheers

Re: Wanted composite horsebow
Hi again 'purelyinstinctive'.,glad to see you listening and also looking/appraising for yourself. After seeing price and wait for true composites 10 years ago,I thought my only option was to make my own. After books and DVD's on their construction, and obtaining set of buffalo horns and then trying to ...

Re: Wanted composite horsebow
Hi Shrek, just a thought on your post....from what I see Soul Archery does not have true composite bows ie. horn belly, wood core, sinew back...in fact I think there are very few in the world doing these complex and time consuming bows, and they can be VERY expensive (eg starting at $2600 US ) and requi...

Re: Wanted composite horsebow
Hi there, just saw your post/request and joined so I could reply to you. Have you considered or seen Grozer composite bow? If you search his website you will see examples of what you want, and they are reasonably priced (currently 700 to 750 euros) and I believe they are good shooters.Anyway hope this...
