Heya gang, Getting back into it and looking for something 45-75lb. Possibly two bows, one lighter one heavier, for development and practice. Not looking for anything tooooo fancy or expensive. Re: I know this is not Archery
...my neighbour and I have just spent the last 2 days grinding over 4 ton of grape fruit ,mandarins and valencia oranges into the ground. No one seems to want them , can't give them away.. Sad **** indeed. I think you're on the money in thinking about preserving the fruit as an alcoholic beverage. ...

Mate I'd struggle with 110#, but do like a challenge. Budget's pretty tight for now but will let you know if that changes. Thanks for posting.

Bump. Now after anything from 55-60# up as my longbow is now an ex-longbow and I'm getting itchy string fingers.

Re: WTB 80-100lb Longbow (preferred) or Recurve budget to $3
Hey there Colin, Thanks for the reply. It'll be for backyard target, 3D and eventually hunting, and yes, I expect to be looking for some time. I will eventually make some bows, but starting at lower weights and expecting failures along the way. I've had a look at your build threads, impressive! Chee...

WTB Heavier Longbow (preferred) or Recurve budget to $300
Fellow archers,
As per the title, I'm after a longbow with a draw weight around 80-100lb, or alternatively a recurve, to $300 but prefer to spend less. Not after anything fancy, just wanting to continue developing strength and accuracy at higher weights.
Cheers,
Jake

Thanks for the feedback. I had a string made up by Craig (Swift Bowstrings). Very happy with the result.

G'day, and a string question?
G'day, Great to join a forum of fellow people interested in traditional archery. I have a Ben Pearson 50th anniversary traditional (71# @ 28") in need of a new string, and am after your advice as to what to fit? I'd prefer to buy off the shelf or have a string made locally (ie, I'm not interest...
