Re: Getting a bow delivered/posted from overseas.

On the customs side of things. Last time I had a bow imported from OS I rang customs to get the lowdown. In essence if the bow cost is under the exchange rate equivalent of $1000aud, not including shipping, when it arrives in Aus then it should go through no problems. If it is over then they add the...

Re: FOR SALE Custom knives

No problem at all mate. Leather in the picture is 6-7oz with a welt that's between 8-10oz. That said I use 7-8oz on sheaths now for a bit more stiffness but that is arguably overkill for the size of the knives. Whilst on the issue of safety these sheaths are all good whilst dry but any leather sheat...

Re: FOR SALE Custom knives

Hi Kim, you might not be able to tell from the picture but the sheaths have welts. I too don't want a knife in my leg. Cheers Ric

Re: No bow hunting Tallarook or Mt Disappointment State Fore

I think you're on the money there. I called up the Alexandra office and the game manager there said this was nonsense. If the DSE maps say it's ok to hunt there then it's ok. No such thing as rangers discretion.

No bow hunting Tallarook or Mt Disappointment State Forests

Hi all, I'm new to the forum, just had a question for the Vic members. Was planning on heading up to Tallarook SF on the weekend for a bit of a wander and shoot and thought I'd check with DSE on any restrictions. I was politely informed bow hunting was not permitted in Tallarook or Mt Disappointment...
