David:
Muslims can hunt and eat the meat. Islamic law allows for the difficulties of hunting. Basically a muslim hunter must shoot in the name of Allah, and recover the animal within 3 days for the meat to be halal.

I always keep a small amount of lint in my bellybutton, in case of emergency. Otherwise the bicycle inner tube works fine. I'd rather eat my chips.

Well then, nice reading CM. Not every writer can do that. I once found a recording of Samuel Beckett reading his novel "Molloy", probably my favourite storybook. What a shocking displeasure! His reading was very clumsy, not at all what I expected.

Rabbits in good form
Hi guys, happy hunting. The small game are a great challenge for me. I've been after the rascals with my longbow and the rabbits are indeed string jumpers. On the property I hunt they are in excellent form after a wet summer and plenty of juicy grass. How's this? I went for a stalk with just one arr...

As I said, I really just wanted to talk about fletches and just to throw a cat amongst the pigeons, to end this, I'll provide a quote from W. J. A brushtail used to come into my room in a Canberra townhouse I was sharing. I liked it but I was nervous it would **** on my bed. I made the mistake of extending a finger for it to sniff. It just bit on it. A very firm test bite. Thank God it let go when I yelped, but it was completely unphased. It...

Tassie Devil, odds on.
Those blighters have bone-crushing jaws: Some zoo I visited mentioned the pressure they can exert with their jaws. I googled it and found they have the same bite-force as the grey wolf, which is six times the size of the Devil. Bite pressure will be covered on: Dangerous Encounters: Monster Bite Mon...

I've since moved into a house with a nice big back yard, but I often practised archery inside the flat. The holes in the wall are proof. My home-made target butt just couldn't stop every arrow at 5m. I also made a couple of holes in the couch, and one in a wooden kiddie chair. The worst was a wild r...

I believe hunting is simply an irresistible and primeval urge, an instinct if you must, remaining within some of us from the times when hunting was a daily necessity and an everyday part of life. It's actually a part of us. Well said, Mick. My thoughts exactly. Hunting feels perfectly natural, but ...

Good idea to prepare early, cling. I would suggest a baby backpack like the Macpac Possum, and go walking with one of your young'uns in there. He'll love it and you get to work specific hiking/packing muscles. A few months ago I started riding my pushy to work three or four days a week and my aerobi...
