Re: What sort of butts do you prefer?

Hey Mick, I haven't voted because I would choose options 3 and 4. I prefer to not have a back drop but if I had it my way I would opt for natural hessian that is set not directly behind the target but a few meters away to catch flyers. And only where there is black berries and ivy etc. A few years b...

Re: Leongatha Medieval Society 2014 Royal Hunt 19/10/2014

Thanks Mick, hoping next year it is a little less histerical and a little more historical. We have learnt a lot about setting up and working to time frames. Tweeking!
We normally have the event in March - May so I will keep you all posted as to what comes of it for 2015. Cheers, Silverlady.

Re: Leongatha Medieval Society 2014 Royal Hunt 19/10/2014

Funny. Its a damn outrageous ask for a day drive! Sorry, can't and won't even encourage a drive like that in a day. Thanks for thinking of us Nev and it would be great to see you at the shoot but it really is quite a stretch of distance to consider for a one dayer. The weather is so far set for 26C....

Re: Leongatha Medieval Society 2014 Royal Hunt 19/10/2014

Hey Mick, is there a chance you could drive to Melb's and car pool from there forward? Just a thought. It would be good to see you and for you to try out our home since Mossvale days. If you PM me your address I can send you some brochures from the Information centre that show off our pretty towns t...

Re: Leongatha Medieval Society 2014 Royal Hunt 19/10/2014

Cool David, we can shoot 'stinking longbows' together! (I hope you are the David with the 'stinking lonbow!') I actually have my own new saying about one of my longbows...'stupid bung bow!' Remind me to introduce it to yours. Anyhow, I am watching the weather 28 day forecast and it looks OK so...

Re: Lilydale Trad Shoot 2014

Hey Folks, I am excited about this event and looking forward to a challenging round of archery. I am trying not to think about the camping in a tent part but I am packing the camp stove to reload hot water bottles during the night if necessary. If that big Longhorn bullock is trained to be campfire ...

Re: Leongatha Medieval Society 2014 Royal Hunt event

Hey Guys, the low down on what took place on Sunday is this. We bumped in at 12pm, scurried like little beavers to get set up and had the delight of welcoming a group of archers from Yarra Valley Archery. We shot Kings Round and then loosed some flu-flus at 40 -50mt golf buckets. For our guests that...

Re: Where is Victorian Trad Scene going

Hello fellow Trad Archers, I feel like I just got a 'swifty' in the shin regarding a post a few back up this listing regarding Leongatha Medieval Society Inc. Archery events. I first and foremost must make a very clear statement about the Leongatha Medieval Society....we are a medieval English club!...
