Re: Repairing 3D targets
Hi Matt I have found pool noodles work well. Cut a hole in the target push the noodle through then drill holes through the target into the noodle and pump expanding foam into the holes and any other gaps to lock it all into place. In the past i have used the repair kits and have found that the end r...

Re: WHY?
Traditional archery is a term that i feel is very misleading. We accept and use bows of very modern material , design and consruction , but when it comes to arrows we are very archaic in our outlook. The die hard wooden arrow fraternity tell us they are just as good as their modern counterpart but a...

Hi ,
I have always found bees made the best string wax. It also can be used for so many other things. But don't try bringing any from W.A. because the quarantine man in Ceduna will take it of you.
Cheers Gary

Always used glue for years. Started using fletch tape about 2 years ago. After fletching one arrow thought it was a waste of time, by the time I did the third arrow I was a convert and would not go back to glue if I could help it.

Hi Jim
African 3d targets also make a cube. I have one and it works as good as there 3d targets. I think it would be a bit cheaper than a Rinehart.

If it was me I would grind/saw the glass and laminations off. Then glue new laminations and glass on. Should be able to turn it in to a light weight bow.

According to some American Indians vertical is for hunting, horizontal is for war. that way it matches the rib cage.
I know the helical fletch will counter act it but the could still be something in it.

It sounds like someone may be jealous. We have been shooting for almost 35 years and although we only attended one of your trad shoots it was definitely on the list to return too. We had an absolute ball. I have lost count of the major shoots that we have attended, both here in W.A. and over east. Y...

Re: What sort of butts do you prefer?
What Jacko and Daryl said. Can't see the point in sticking a 3d in front of a butt. We have access to a couple of farms where a few times a year we take our 3d targets and set them up. So much better than overlaying them on our normal AB courses.

The first bow i ever had was a Damon Howatt Ventura it cost me $60 way back in 1984. I still have it and would have to rate it as the best bow I ever shot.

We have been using ribtek's for the past 25 years and have just recently tried tuskers. All mounted on P.O.C. Both get the job done and never once had a goat complain about our set up.
