Re: New bow...

Hi Zarasp, my undertsanding was that the Korean bows were ambidextrous so no I didn't order a left handed one. Do you think I should write to Thomas again? On the picture front - not so easy as I'll need one of my kids to take some shots for me. I'll see how I go and if we can get some decent ones ...

Re: New bow...

Thanks guys, appreciate the thoughts. Hey Zarasp (now that is an unusual name!), thanks to your recent post about Korean bows I placed an order for one of those today with Thomas. Not that I need another bow but I am building quite a collection of eastern style bows - can't wait for this one to arr...

Re: Korean Hwarang bows review

Re: Korean Hwarang bows review

perry the first post stated 460gr arrow. I shoot a 55lb mamba. Its regarded almost unilaterally as a "quick" bow. it sounds quick, feels quick, looks quick. its quick. It shoots 450gr carbons at 175-180fps on a good day! (my good day..) 238fps at 460gr would have to be faster than many 60...

Re: GROZER BIO COMPOSITE has arrived / and EBay Asiatic

TY for the insight guys, @ Perry, my Persian bow had almost exactly the same grip as in picture, Hwarangs on the other hand come with a tiny flat handle, covered with a rubber grip, which i removed on one of them & built it again by wrapping to my preferred size, i've been using the same grip i ...

Re: GROZER BIO COMPOSITE has arrived / and EBay Asiatic

Thank you J. , i heard a Korean archer talk about a very similar way, it probably is the exact same actually, what he mentioned was that , if done correctly, it might increase the output energy by allowing the upper limb to "fall" forward (in a semi-circular way) & do it's work, which ...

oh yes, it appears in ancient Persian literature/history as guardian to the father of their best known warrior, Rostam, which, by some accounts is believed to be an actual historical figure, around 700 BC, in 'The Book of Kings', Rostam's father is left in the mountains as a child because he was an ...

 , from similar tests that i have seen, 220 fps sounds really good,a friend estimated the Persian bow about 180 fps, which was a bit faster than Kassai, but still not suitable for fast horses & then these Korean bows, Hwarang, they were SO fast compared to anything i had before, i used all ...
