Looking for - trad bow / self bow

if anyone has an old bow that just collects webs or do not need I would be happy to buy it , I would prefer a traditional bow , and I can't really afford full price that's why I'm wondering of anyone had an old one :lol:

great ! I live in the basin , if it's the one on Sheffield road then I'm a 10minute walk away ! I've been trying to find out what archery club that is for a couple months now

too be honest I'm not sure I can't identify a few trees I have around my house , I live near two massive reserves so theirs plenty around I just can't identify them.
this will just be an experimental task , something to do after work in my spare time

I was thinking of extracting some glue out of birch bark soon as will need it to try and make a 5000 year old arrows so might practice making some , and use it to seal the ends of my bow

Interesting , I might cut a couple staves big enough to split into two so I have four and just experiment with all of them

Hello everyone , is it possible to cut a stave , shape it and tiller it all in one day ? if so how long in your opinion do you think the bow would last before snapping ? leave some suggestions as I'm going to experiment with this idea personally I don't think it will work , once the moisture leaves ...
