I am with Kev, love the cold hate the summer. I also prefer it to be raining as well.
10-14 degrees in canada they all go to the beach
There must be an increase with skin cancer from the hat decades as opposed to the non hat decades.

Silver Arrow??
My Nephew has had a long fascination with Robin Hood, and things assocaited with the story, he has all the movies and tv shows etc and as his birthday is approaching I was wondering if anyone knows where you can get a silver arrow from? My mrs will make a purple silk pillow to rest it on, as apparen...

Re: MEDIAEVAL LONGBOW(???) ARROW PENETRATION TEST ARTICLE
When I am wrong I am wrong and will admit it. It wasn't a bow that was fired 1km, it was a cross bow, a large one that was reported to reach distances of 1000 yards. The large cross bows had a crank at the back of them to load it, and while it was said to reach distances between 300-500yds it was al...

Re: Yet another new member
Longbow, my bad it was spotted gum, I had been talking pine all day on a project I am doing with my dad so I had pine on the mind. Wolf, I did get a fair bit out of it, and there are already a lot of areas I will change with the next bow, just waiting for my Horse Rasp to arrive before I start. I wi...

Re: What do we think (and play nicely)
I don't think you can give permission as a whole. There are some bright kids out there and then there are those who should never own a gun. I think permission can be granted to younger kids provided they pass some sort of test to see how they conduct themselves, otherwise it falls solely on the pare...

Re: RSPCA article on hunting...
Just thinking about the anti's, and this will go a little off topic, but most of the people who love animals and want to protect them from people and hunters often have a many number of animals themselves, one being cats. In the course of 12mths cats kill and harm the enviroment more than any hunter...

Re: MEDIAEVAL LONGBOW(???) ARROW PENETRATION TEST ARTICLE
It's not my forum, I won't degrade the thread any more, if I have something useful to add I will add it, but right now I stand by what I said as accurate, and could care less if people want to believe or not, each man must follow his own path. Some information is best kept private and due to finding...

Re: MEDIAEVAL LONGBOW(???) ARROW PENETRATION TEST ARTICLE
Mornining All. I didn't say at 1km the shot would be accurate, I just said it was possible from an elevated position to have the arrow make the distance. ... ... Archer's using Yew made bows accurate up to 400yds. Go back and read my previous comment. There is no way that Medieval Longbow will shoo...

Re: Some of my shots (not archery related)
Slayer when you take a landscape photo you have to remember three things, foreground, middle ground and back ground. Looking at the car under the tree this image does have these things, but colour would make this image really shine. Either early morning (dawn) or late at night as the sun set will ge...

Thanks guys I appreciate the help. Like with many things everyone has their opinion which is fair enough but it doesn't make it easy for the newbie
I hope we get to make arrows on the weekend which might help clear up some of these issues.

Re: Anyone seen Full metal jousting?
In reality lawyers have there place, if some con artist scams a widow for all her money to do her drive way and then never does it I can understand completely and we need to throw the book at these types of people and the sort of cases you mentioned. What annoys me, and Americans are to blame largel...

Re: RSPCA article on hunting...
I can agree with that Dennis. If you take hunting out of it for a moment, thee types of groups have issues with almost everything to do with animals, size of a tank a fish is kept in, the size of the yard you keep your dog in, and it just goes on and on and on. The thing is in regards to hunting the...

Re: RSPCA article on hunting...
I have had my fair share of fights over the years, and in my older years I have reached the opinion that why can't we all just get along. There are always going to be thoughts and opinons that I don't agree with, and vice versa and that is ok. The chances of hunting be totally being wiped will only ...

I have a tendancy to get forums moving, some people find it annoying, and on some of the slower forums they love it as the forum dies without someone like myself.

For those who make arrows by hand, what are the tools you can't live without to help speed up the process?
Been searching and it just gets confusing so I thought I would just put the question out there.

When you have shot all your arrows into a target or tree or whatever, is there a correct way to remove the arrow to prevent damage so they can be used again and again?
thanks
