Re: new limbs on a broken one piece recurve
I am following this as my Fox "Maverick" suffered a similar fate and I have dreams of resurrecting her into a take-down with longbow limbs. At the point I wanted to cut the existing limbs off the riser matches the take-down recurves from the same Bowyer

Shaft suppliers
Hi all, I’m looking for recommendations for timber shaft suppliers in OZ. I know the great work that Wallace woods do but if I keep breaking them at the rate I am I will go broke buying premade.
Looking for 11/32 parallel or 23/64 that can be tapered or compressed.

Re: TAA Proposed Equipment Guidelines 2020
The ABA state Title shoot that I attended on the weekend highlighted to me the Futility of this. I shot a Fox Traditional Longbow ( Google if you arent sure if they are a longbow) with timber arrows from the same peg as the compound shooters Now had I used Carbon arrows but the same bow at the same ...

Re: TAA Proposed Equipment Guidelines 2020
Obviously my opinion is invalid as it doesn’t align with yours. I’m not hung up on the variety of “rules “ driven by a certain group in the archery community. TBH most of the people I have met shooting trad don’t care about the details they just enjoy shooting with like minded people. They show off ...

Re: TAA Proposed Equipment Guidelines 2020
I for one do not understand the drive to "define " the longbow or Recurve. IMO you can easily class these all as Traditional Style Longbow and Traditional Style recurve. We don't see the Compound shooters defining by the bow but by the way it is accessorised so why we continue the path of ...

Re: WHY?
I have briefly toyed with the idea of getting more heavily involved in an association such as TAA or ABA. The biggest issue I have is time and also to bring about change like this it requires those that worked hard at the beginning to be prepared to support change or at least move aside to allow it ...

Re: WHY?
I think that this conversation has been done to death at most clubs and on cyber Boards around the globe. I have shot and do shoot Timber arrows, I enjoy shooting them and when the comp specifies that i use woods to compete then that's fine. However I do get frustrated when someone feels they have t...
