W.A, only about a third of the property is like that though the rest is paddock. its is an absolute pain trying to stalk through those lilies though.

Expense necessary?

is buying an expensive broad head necessary? ive just been mucking around with ribtecks till my proper arrows come and the seem to be a great head and every time i hit stone (sadly quite often good thing they are just muck around shafts) it breaks the stone and the heads are still sharp. so i want t...

Re: Brain/ egg tanning

i found out about brain tanning, from there i found many people use eggs instead as they are much easier to get hold of. i really cannot encourage people enough about this method as it worked amazingly for me.

Re: Brain/ egg tanning

well as i had hoped and this tanning method promised it didn't go as stiff as a board once dried. it went slightly stiffer but with only a minuscule amount of tanning it is back being very soft. :) i hope this helps some people and i really cannot recommend this tanning method enough, it has made my...

ive just washed the fur with shampoo so that it might stop smelling of smoke so it will be interesting to see if it goes stiff or stays soft :)

Re: Brain/ egg tanning

i cannot recommend this process enough! it is a little dirty but for the results i am really happy. i have ended up with a velvet soft pelt and even when i wet it it went back to being the way it was before no hardening that i could notice. i did give a light sanding to the final product and i regre...

Brain/ egg tanning

so i thought i would share this method and what i learnt. after the skin is fleshed and semi-dried, you want it dry enough that it will take the mixture, i found mixing eggs yolk with mayonaise worked best as you can keep it in one place without it moving to another area. after a few days of changin...

Re: The opponents of hunting and archery will be up in arms.

keep in mind it is not needed for the entire public to be against hunting just a small very loud group to be!! and considering organisations such as RSPCA which most people would assume to have some credibility support the complete destruction of hunting, incidents such as these can cause a huge pro...

Re: RSPCA article on hunting...

Personally i would put down the lack of women interested in bowhunting down to the lack of people they know that do it it most likely has just not occurred to them. There are a few people out there that want to hunt just lack the know how to get into the lifestyle and lack the real motivation to do ...

I truly believe that if you want to educate more people merely talking to them is a waste of your time. Instea...
