1st Hunting Trip

Finally got to go on my 1st proper hunting trip. Thanks to the planning of my father Inlaw who introduced me to archery. We went out for a long weekend trip to Longreach. After all the rain we were lucky to get there but the Troopy got us through to the property. The 1st day I didn't have any luck a...

1970-72 Bear Grizzly SOLD pending payment

I have a 1970-72 Bear Grizzly For Sale. It is in very very good condition. Length 56" Weight 50# Its Grayling Green in colour. I have shot it a hand full of times and it shoots like a dream. Other than that it lives on my bow rack. I believe it still has the original strike plate and arrow rest...

Nice bow!!! The Limbs looks really similar to the design of the Predator Bows and my Samick Devastator. Fast Fast bows!

Re: use of aluminium and carbon arrows at trad shoots

Hey Little John, I could imagine that would leave a sour taste in your mouth. Personally i shoot woods out of choice and i shoot heavy hunting arrows whenever i'm at the club. I never shoot high scores and a Target archer I am not, but im confident that i can take an animal with a heavy wood arrow i...

Re: New String (with pics)

It is too.... bugger.
I will see that everytime i shoot now
All good, will make sure i look at the order more carefully the next string i do.
How would that affect the string? It wouldn't affect the breaking pressure of the string would it?

Cheers

Re: In need of a new Glove

Hey Flyne, I use a 'American Leathers Big Shot Glove'. Ive had it for over a year now and it is the 1st glove i have owned. It hasnt showed and sign of falling apart and is a really well made glove. Usually shoot 200 arrows thru it a week more or less. Some people might find the nylon webbing on the...

New String (with pics)

Just made up a new Flemish Twist String for the weekend shoot. Went for a 3 bundle even though i find them to be abit of a pain to get right. Worked out first time so i didnt have to untwist and start again  Hopefully this one will last as long as my previous one! I also lowered the brace ...

Re: Bow Licence in NSW???

A few weeks ago i agreed to go for a hunt with a work mate to cull some pigs on his property. I semi knew the fella and he told me he had a Bear compound bow and had all the hunting gear. I agreed, rocked up to the fellas house and he was shooting his broadheads in to a target, they were duller than...
