Hide glue was commonly known as Pearl glue and can still be bought as such , many cabinet makers who specialise in restoring old furniture still prefer to use it

Re: How many people use a ghille/leaf suit when hunting ?

Back years ago when I had a long weekend every second week I spent it away hunting and I did a lot of experimentation with camo and man made and natural sent eliminators and of the whole camo line I found that the gillie suits definitely worked the best at least to my satisfaction , Now I may not be...

Re: Now I know people dont like crossbows

Re: use of aluminium and carbon arrows at trad shoots

I practice with wood arrows , I stump shoot with wood arrows , I don't shoot competition any more so the point is moot , I hunt with alloy arrows because I find them more accurate and I consider taking every opportunity to ensure a clean kill more important than being trad

Re: black wattle ident.

Over the years I've come across over a dozen different species that were known locally as Black Wattle , all were different , although what was known Black wattle around the Caboolture is also known as Black wattle around here at Miriam Vale but to confuse it a little more some of the locals know it...

Jono

No haven't looked into snake sentinels but will do in the near future , mainly we just make sure that there isn't much to attract the snakes and we also put naphthalene in the storage area of the shed to repel them

Well most snakes can climb , and the security door is a easy climb , hell we used to have a 8 ft eastern brown that hunted rats in the rafters of the pistol club building at Clermont We do get a lot of Eastern Brows here but as I've only ever seen big ones I really wouldn't recognize a smaller young...
