Re: Doggers run down on ABC

I don't run dogs .. and I have come across many absolute bogan hoodlums over the years, utes chock full of ill trained aggressive dogs .... these same gents whomI have worked with on occasion speak openly about cutting fences and poaching and they expressed how it is 'the norm' amongst 'doggers' .....

Re: Doggers run down on ABC

Im with you on this Chally And i will argue till i am blue in the face. The guys that give us bad names are the ones with half trained dogs that think its the cool thing to do to watch there dogs on a pig! My dogs are my life and a hell of alot of time goes into training them so they know right fro...

Re: Doggers run down on ABC

You are right about the wallies who cut fences, bog up paddocks and generally cause problems they certainly give any form of hunting a bad name and let the nay sayers have a foothold. No matter what they say about cruelty, hunting and dogging are kinder than baiting BUT the public never see a baite...

Re: Doggers run down on ABC

I don't know why people always think of banning as a control on an activity they don't know anything about. There are already laws for cruelty that could be strengthened so they are more easily enforced. The real doggers who quickly dispatch the pigs would be OK but the ones that "take the sti...

Re: Doggers run down on ABC

round my way doggers are a bit like lawyers, only 99% of them give the rest a bad name. never mind the cruelty or alleged cruelty. how about the total lack of respect for private property? cutting fences and so forth and generally behaving like pelicans that is too prevalent for it to be a minority...

Re: Doggers run down on ABC

Unfortunately the general public is very detatched from the forms of hunting that have endured for millenia. My wife mentioned her dismay at pig-dogging. I explained that pigs squeal and carry on like they are being tortured even when you pick them up gently by the legs (ive kept domestic ones befo...

If they have sorgum on the place you want to hit when it's just been headed which would have been done mon...
