Re: heavy carbon arrows
Hey all I have used Gold Tip trade an got a section of between eater line and wrapped it with yarn then stuffed it in the shaft and weighted my arrows like that. Other than that I would go with the Trad sites mentioned above they are weight forward adapted. I believe they weigh in at 10.5 grains

As ugly as they are they are really quite tasty. You have to split the armor with tin shears or even a hatchet but when you open them up outwards from the top there are two backstraps that are really quite nice. Light meat with a delicate flavor and with a meat grain not flakey. Great made as gar ba...

Fellas I have five scars on my left hand and arm that will tell ya how sharp they are. Two are minor things but the others well lets say I had to super glue them shut and put ice on them to staunch the flow of blood. The two on my hand were the worse because they were right on the veins but no bigge...

Hey Jeff I just thought of something. Wal do yall have night shoots? We setup smaller 3-d targets in front of good backstops in a row roughly 20 yards out, we then attach glowsticks at the head of each target. When it gets dark to where you see only the lightstick the shooters on the firing line are given ten seconds (by whistle blast) ...

Thanks Bob, that arrowhead is my favorite pig head tough, moderately heavy, good width, average length, easy to sharpen, mount easily and spin true and really really hold up when they hit heavy bone. Back when I shot heavier bows I shattered a scapula on a 180 pound boar it went through and busted t...

Re: Look what Dave found!
Jonow I personally would rather have a brainy dog than ballsy. I have had too many ballsy dogs and the brainy ones are the ones that make good hunters. They actually think on what has to be done in the hunt without getting hurt. I've worked with many different breeds and the ones that that make it a...

Thanks Big Bob I will check it out. Do yall have Reds or Greys(foxes)? Down here where I am at we have predominately Greys with the reds being farther Northeast in the Pines of East Texas. We do have ALOT of Coyotes and a very good populous of Bobcats.

I've seen some of those whistles and I like the simplicity. No wires or speakers to mess with. I know a bunch of fellas here that spend a small fortune on varmint calling systemsand most do no better than I do using my cheap handheld tubes and whistles. I have one electronic that I think I paid 30 d...

Just spoke to a DHL rep who echoed that bows are considered weapons and will not be shipped. I asked if it was in thier policy and yes was the answer. Funny things is the are always shipping electronics, processor chips and things of that nature, now correct me if I'm wrong but technically they elec...

Another bow line that has been overlooked is Martin Archery. Gale Martin has been building stickbows since I believe the 40's or 50's. I have several friends that bought Martin X-200's and love them as far as recurves go. Good entry level bows with a warranty and the Martin family stand behind thier...

No Lads, this BH is a design a good friend of mine who owns Black Swan Bows named Arvid Danielson has created after the old two blade version. It is roughly 2.5 inches long by about 1.25 to 1.50 inches wide. It is a single bevel blade with a square ferule instead of the round one. Go to www.blackswa...
