Re: Leather glove or Tab treatment

Yep vege oil is good , have used it on saddles , bridles etc when working in the horse industry , I normally put whatever item out in the sun for a little bit to warm up and open the pores of the leather and can watch the oil disappear into it straight away.

Re: Are these Trad legal?

Have thought about trying these in the past as I like the idea of them .

Was wondering though do they affect string speed or create excess string follow owing to the extra weight on the string and if so are the speed drop and follow only slightly affected ?

Thanks

Re: Old Camp Ovens

Awesome stuff , a huge difference when they are all cleaned up , amazing how the age of them , like that Carron one seems to disappear once they have a nice sheen to them . Without knowing the history of it you mentioned , you could be mistaken into thinking it is only as old as the harding . Where ...

Re: Put Hawkesbury River houseboating on your bucket list

An awesome place , have loaded up the boat with camping gear and spent countless days running around all over that river ,
In certain sections of it could be fooled into thinking you are a thousand miles from anywhere , yet are only an hour or less from the centre of Sydney.

Might have been a Bear super mag ?

Super short takedown recurves that match that description would be the Little suckling recurve , or the Tovar hunting recurve ( my favourite ..... One day !! )

Re: Bunny busting with a 10c coin??

As well as "defacing" / tampering / damaging government owned currency could end up costing you a lot more if you are actually caught or found to be doing it .

Just do as perry says and buy a pack of suitable washers , a lot cheaper and simpler , the holes are already drilled for you .

ASI . what actual credentials do you have to be instructing others ? From the one of your videos I saw on you tube , where you fished the Macleay river , your group spent a week with a leaking and broken canoe , with no real attempt that I saw to fix it ( a half dozen cable ties and gaffer tape coul...

Re: Super glue

yeah should be ok , I use selleys supa glue on wraps ( vanes and feathers ) and works good , just sometimes those cheap supa glue packs either have tubes with stuff all glue in them or the glue isn't quite as strong as the big brands , selleys , Loctite etc.

Re: Free camping in VIC set to end

Yeah it is a shame for sure Jeff , I don't know when exactly it will be implemented , you might get lucky and still find it open on your trip down . It is a beautiful area Kangaroo valley and has a high tourist /day tripper / weekender traffic flow , so a bit surprised that the Bendeela camp has bee...

Re: Free camping in VIC set to end

I just heard on ABC local radio this morning ( Illawarra ) that it seems not only VIC are looking at closing off camping areas . Apparently Carrington falls camp ground , in the southern highlands in NSW ( on the ridge between Moss vale and Nowra ) and Bendeela campground down in Kangaroo Valley ( j...
