Re: How I want to die
This was just a funny statement, in truth, ther needn't be any explaining, the title says the topic, and the post contains the message. I was simply stating how I wanted to die, albeit it was intended as a joke, I do not particularly want to crasha perfectly good car as a way of dying.

How I want to die
I want to die peacefully in my sleep, not kicking and screaming like the passengers in his car.

Jokes, I know the pictures flipped.
What exactly is it for though? Excuse my noobish question. I assume its for unfinished arrows?

Treated Jarrah (hardwood)
So I was looking at the yeoman's wood chart thingo, and noticed that Jarrah had high 'stats' so I checked the local hardware shop and found 80mm by 20mm (any length) pieces of Jarrah, the grain on all the pieces is running roughly down the length. I was wondering, is Jarah of this type any good for ...

This is bit of a Necro-post (a post that could be considered spamming due to the current topics age), but that bow looks awesome
it looks similiar to an Assyrian/Scythian cavalary bow, only a bit longer.

Re: Hi! I wanna make a bow :D

And the shortbow I made had been left for about a year, I cut it and forgot about it :p But it was soft wood, and the stick itself was about 1.35 cm in diameter so it wasnt very good :p Would Jarrah be a go...

Hi! I wanna make a bow :D
So, the title says pretty much all of it :p, but I'm John, and I like the primitive weapons such as the sling and bow(not to offend anyone with the choice of wording ;D). At the moment, I have made a few self bows which were pretty much just branches cut from a tree with a string tied on, they eithe...
