Re: Twincity Bowmen Albury

Word around the traps is that this will be a great one, hopefully it lines up with my new roster and I'll bring the kids out. Hoping to catch up soon, just missed you last weekend.

Re: WTB 2 kids bows

Hey Jim, I've just sold my eldest sons St Joe River longbow. It was. #20 and a great bow for him. Only problem was the custom shipping from the states. I ended up shipping it via myUS. I've just ordered a Mad dog pup longbow for my youngest and the cost is A$170 posted. With that was a choice of tim...

Re: Anyone interested in a new recurve...?

Hey Guy, One of my mates has one. The detail is incredible and the closer you look, the more you see. The craftsmanship is incredible and you rarely see anything like it these days. It's obviously not something you shoot all the time, but it's proved to be a wise investment by my mate as the price h...

Re: Who bare shaft tunes their arrows?

Hey Mick, how's things? Mate, I've always been a "Whack some feathers on and she'll be right" type of shooter. Granted always used spined arrows near enough to what I thought I needed. Now I got a couple of new strings, and bought a new batch of the dreaded carbons, and proceeded to bare s...

Hey fellas, Went out for a look around for a Red the other day, mainly to see if they had rubbed out yet. Saw little sign, and the ground was cornflakes, but I managed to miss a rabbit, and l tried to get the eye in with a few shots at tussocks. Was picking up an arrow from a shot and saw three youn...

Re: trail cameras

Hey Tradarcher, Yeah mate I run a few cams for sambar and think they are a great bit of kit. I don't know how useful they are as far as patterning them, as they leave you asking more questions about deer behaviour than answering them. I have used Wild Game Innovations cameras, and started with IR4's...

Cheers for the replies fellas, Chase'n - the bow is a ST Joe River longbow I got it through Tradgang. He got stung by postage to here, so I don't know if he has sorted out something for cheaper postage now. You might have to get in contact and ask. Hey Fellas, On Thursday it was my eldest son's 6th birthday, and when asked what he wanted to do for the day his reply was "Go to the Bowmans Club and shoot my bow with Dad". I'd organised the day off work so we went out first thing before it got too hot and let rip a few arrows. Here's a ...

Hey Guy, Didn't get out for the fallow rut at all this year, but came across a red stag during a post rut wander. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v667/memo48/April2012138.jpg As he was only a young 4x4, I was happy to sneak in and get some pics and very shaky video  http://img.photobucket.com...

NZ Turkeys

Hey fellas, Been a while since i've been for a hunt, flat out at work so a family holiday to NZ saw me throw in the old two piece longbow to see if I could get one of the turkeys that are around the place. We don't have them here in Australia, so the chance to bag a tom was a urge that i'd had since...

Goal for the year is to get in close and personal with some fallow - work may be tough to get around though. Apart from that I'll keep looking for a blind and deaf sambar.
