Re: Chevallan Archery Park July 28/29
Hi Guy's, I am really missing all the trad shoots! I have no idea when I will be able to shoot. It has been 14 months now and still suffering with the left shoulder. I paid my annual fees at Toowoomba in Feb and have not been once. But most of all I miss you guy's and the family atmosphere and frien...

Bees Wax for me also. I did try tree sap with bees wax once without success. I suppose the type of tree may play a big part.

I should set up a go fund me page to get my shoulder fixed, so that I can shoot again.
Not so funny though, its been almost a year since I attended a shoot.

Instinctive is the way to go, you just have to get the brain trained. "Not Easy"
The best archers seem to have it mastered. I have not as yet and not likely to as I get older.

Re: Dynaflight 97 Flemish twist strings
Hi Tom, your strings are looking good! you will find that the red will bleed a little with the D97, so I would suggest a little wipe down before adding the wax.
You may already know this! but thought others watching may not know.

IMHO, if you bare shaft tune your arrows they will still fly straight when wet. I have used powder some years back and feathers never come back the same.

Hi To all at the Bill Baker Memorial Trad shoot, Sue and I were sorry we were not able to attend. Sue with bad back and hip and me still battling bursitis in the left shoulder. We have not even been able to make our own club shoots at Toowoomba and have not fired an arrow since end of May. Anyway fr...

Re: Granite Belt Bowmen Trad shoot Mar 4/5 2017
Hi all, Sue and I are sorry to have missed the shoot I must admit I wimped out due to the weather, but just as well because I am on black soil and we had a ton of rain at Meringandan West and would not have been able to drive the van out with only a sedan. But That is to be remedied, as we are havin...

Re: Proposed 2017 Trad shoots
g'day Ron, caravans up to 20foot can get in ok there's a few tight corners so vans over that size may be a problem, but we do have an option for the bigger vans off the grounds available. I'll be around somewhere the week before so if anyone has a query don't hesitate to give me a call on 042987929...

Re: Hoyt Formula Limbs on a 19" Buffalo Bow - Draweight Calc
I own a Win & Win olympic style bow with ILF Limbs, and rule of thumb is the length of the riser makes approx 2+ lb per inch difference. I am not sure that it works the same for Furmula system, but it would have to be close as it is only a means of attaching limb to riser. So on that basis you a...

Re: Proposed 2017 Trad shoots
Hi All, my reply came from the word that Caboolture were no longer holding the event because of the increase in fees!. Also it is not just the cost of fees but of the cost of travel, It is an expensive weekend when archers are travelling large distances to an event. I might add that Caboolture is to...
