I didn't know him as well as some of you but he was a good bloke. Sad loss.

The map is on page 2 of the flier(back in about the 8th post of this thread), but when you get approx 500km's north of Brisvegas, you will come to a place called Benaraby with a longish bridge crossing the Boyne River. Immediately after the bridge, on the right is a Caltex Service Station and on the...

I have found the good quality commercial rubber ones are quite good and last well. There is a cheaper one which knots up and looks like crap as well as becoming reduced in effectiveness. However, one of the blokes up here keeps his old dacron strings when they break and cuts them into small pieces a...

Kelvin, some of us here in Gladstone have talked about trying to get over if we can, so some more details early on would probably be very useful in helping decide. It was really good this year having Bruce and Amber again as well as Eddie, Jim, Caroline and Terry and we really appreciate that they m...

I think there are a few going to try to get up. You know, last chance at the range and all but I'm not sure how many. There's a few heading off on hunting trips as well in the next weeks as well so it might be a case of juggling finances to do both and shoots usually come second. Anyway, I think I'l...

Same this way, Sue. Hope you can make it, but more importantly that Steve gets better. I also know some of what you are going through as my wife has had chronic back problems for years as well. It's not easy and a lot of the time there isn't much that can be done except manage the pain. Hopefully th...

Thanks chaps. I only want them for the bow bird novelty event at trad shoots, so they wont get used very often. In which case I might go for the 6 fletch with all lairy colours, as it wont really matter if it takes me a bit longer to make them. I might make some the other way as well and see how muc...

Making Flu Flu's
Well how about it folks, someone must have an opinion or some advice ........ gots to be makin' me a set of flu flu's for next time, though, me thinks. I had a quick search for posts on making flu flu's but there doesn't seem to be one on here. There was a variety of 3,4 or more fletch types plus so...

Must admit that I thought the original page looked pretty good and I hadn't noticed anything at first with the new one, but as per the other guys, the picture doesn't change but the task bar says opening next picture in 2 secs and counts up to 4 then starts again?? Also using XP and IE6

Yes it can be a problem finding suitable weekends. The muster used to be on a 'normal' weekend later in the year but we grabbed the opportunity to move to this one to allow more travelling time. Most people only have to chuck a sickie  ( I mean, take a day's holiday :D ) on the friday or leave...

Thanks mate. It is a good weekend. As much a gathering of the clan as anything and an excuse for fun and frivolity ( aren't they all ). And I'll be watching with interest as Glenn turns a stick into a bow. I was even thinking of making a new set of arrow's to enter in the fletching comp. I was infor...
